Director P Kumar, who was a former assistant of maverick filmmaker KS Ravikumar and K Bhagyaraj, had arranged a special screening of Vishnuvardhana for his mentors. After watching the film, the Padayappa filmmaker praised the young director and said that the screenplay is well-written and it can be remade in Tamil.

The Vishnuvardhana director thanked his guru for his appreciation and said that he wants to remake it in Tamil with Vijay. However, KS Ravikumar felt that Karthi, the brother of Surya, would be the right choice for the character played by Sudeep.

Meanwhile, producer Yogish, the son of actor Dwarakish, is planning to produce the Tamil version of Vishnuvardhana. The announcement about the Kollywood version is expected to be made in January second week.

Vishnuvardhana directed by P Kumar also stars Bhavana and Priyamani in the key roles.
