Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s latest movie Jilla was released on January 10th world wide. Jilla has taken Kollywood box office by storm and the movie has collected nearly 50 crores world wide. With Jilla becoming huge box office hit, there is huge interest surrounding around Vijay’s next film .

Vijay’s 57th movie is going to be directed by A.R Murugadoss and Vijay will be pairing up with Samantha for the first time. Music for the untitled film will be scored by Anirudh and camera will be done by George who worked in Raja Rani. Vijay and A.R Murugadoss has earlier given a blockbuster hit Thuppakki in 2012. Thuppakki is in the list of all time Top 20 Highest Grossing Indian films Worldwide as per Wikipedia.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Jilla has taken Kollywood box office by storm. The movie was released on January 10th in more than 1000 screens worldwide. Now as per trade sources the movie has made gross Box office collection of Rs 40 Crores world wide. With Pongal holidays stills still there, Jilla is expected to cross 50 Crores before this week end.

Directed by Neasan the movie featured Vijay, Mohanlal and Kajal Agarwal in lead roles. Trade sources have also indicated that Jilla has overtaken both Thuppakki and Nanban first 3 days box office collections. Now Jilla has taken the biggest box office opening of Vijay in his career till now.

In Kerala Jilla has made record box office collection. Jilla collected 2.65 crores on its opening day making it has the biggest first day box office collection of any movie in the state.
